Sound issue

Hi, I've been using Hmonitor for a while now, and have only noticed this issue with my new PC. Whenever Hmonitor is open, it briefly pauses the audio output of my sound card when it updates, causing sound stutter every few seconds. Could this be because it's using the same interrupt?
My sound card is an Audigy 4SE on an Asus A8N-SLi SE (nForce 4 SLI) motherboard. I am using the latest drivers from Creative.

Hmonitor does not use any IRQs...
But CPU load may be at 100% for some part of the second during values reading, depending of the system configuration.
The problem seems to be related to audio drivers.

Hmmm that would have been my guess, but studying the CPU usage graph shows no spikes when Hmonitor is measuring at all, it's nice and flat... whereas Asus PC Probe uses 100% of a core all the time, very useful...
